SUBSTANCE: device for collecting information relating to operation of a breast pump is configured to be used with a breast pump comprising a set for expression, designed to act on the breast with a pressure profile and receive milk expressed from the breast, a pump for creating a pressure profile in the expression set and a power supply circuit for supplying power to the pump. Device comprises a detection unit, which is configured to detect an electrical signal in a breast pump power supply circuit, a processing unit, which is configured to receive the detected electrical signal from the detection unit and capable of processing the detected electrical signal according to a predetermined subroutine to generate an information signal indicative of information relating to the use of the breast pump, and a transmission unit which is configured to receive an information signal from the processing unit and to transmit the information signal to enable the external device to receive the information signal. Device is configured to be fitted in the breast pump feed adapter. Breast pump and breast pump power adapter are disclosed.

EFFECT: increase the accuracy and reliability of the obtained information without changing the design of existing breast pumps having no information functionality.
