SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the protective lining in the crusher and the method for assembling the protective lining. The crusher contains a protective lining having many lining segments that are arranged in a circle along the wall of the crusher. At least some of the segments have a trapezoidal shape with two bases of different lengths located parallel to the circumferential direction of the wall, and two non-parallel legs connecting the said bases. In this case, at least some of the segments are arranged around the circumference of the wall in such a way that the long bases and short bases of adjacent segments alternate, and at least some of the segments are made with the possibility of changing their axial position with respect to adjacent segments. The method includes the first stage of attaching at least two segments to the wall of the crusher to ensure the formation of a gap along the circumferential direction of the wall between the two segments of the crusher. In this case, the wall is not covered with any of the segments in the above interval. And the second stage of introducing an additional segment into the mentioned gap and adjusting the position of the additional segment in the axial direction of the wall so that the wall of the crusher is covered with segments located along the circumferential direction of the wall so that adjacent non-parallel legs of adjacent segments at least partially come into contact with each other.

EFFECT: device and method make it possible to compensate for the tolerances on the diameter of the crusher wall when assembling the lining.
