PREDICTION OF EFFICIENCY OF USING RADIATION THERAPY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/574 G01N33/49 C12Q1/6886

Abstract RU 2780780 C2

FIELD: medicine; laboratory and molecular diagnostics; oncology; radiation therapy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to laboratory and molecular diagnostics, oncology, and radiation therapy; it can be used for the prediction of efficiency of radiation therapy in children with diffuse brain stem tumor. Peripheral blood plasma is taken from a patient before radiation therapy, at different stages of the radiation therapy course, and after radiation therapy. At each stage of blood taking, using digital drop PCR (ddPCR), a concentration of a mutant form of BRAF(V600E) is determined. If the concentration of the mutant form of BRAF(V600E) is increased in the beginning of the radiation therapy course and is decreased to its end, then the efficiency of radiation therapy is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides a possibility of prediction of efficiency of radiation therapy in children with diffuse brain stem tumor due to determination of dynamics of levels of concentration of a mutant form of BRAF(V600E) during treatment.
