FIELD: welding technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical contact welding and can be used in appropriate equipment. The power source contains a rectifier with two diodes connected according to a two-half-period rectification scheme with a midpoint, a voltage source, two valve elements and a transformer having two secondary disk windings, each of which consists of at least one disk, to which at least one coil with primary winding sections is pressed, while the primary windings of the transformers pressed to different disks are made the same, connected in series and consistently. In this case, the valve elements are made in the form of thyristors, the anode, cathode and control electrode of each of which are respectively connected to an additionally inserted control unit, which is connected to the mentioned connection point of the primary windings.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to expand the technological capabilities of the power supply and reduce its dimensions.
