FIELD: electric contact welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric contact welding. The power source contains a rectifier with two diodes connected according to a two-half-period rectification scheme with a midpoint, a voltage source and a transformer having two secondary disk windings, each of which consists of at least one disk, to which at least one coil with sections of the primary winding is pressed. The source is equipped with two additional diodes, while the primary windings of the transformer pressed against different disks are made the same, connected in series and accordingly, the beginning of the primary winding pressed against one disk of the secondary winding is connected to the cathode of the first additional diode, and the end of the primary winding pressed against another disk of the secondary winding is connected to the anode of the second additional diode, the cathode of which is connected to the anode of the first additional diode and to one of the terminals of the voltage source, and the connection point of the primary windings, pressed against different disks of the secondary winding, connected to a different output of the voltage source.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the source, reduce its weight and size parameters and improve the quality of welding.
