FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for the production of dibutyl acetal, which can be used as a semi-product in the synthesis of fibers and biologically active compounds. The method consists in the interaction of acetic aldehyde with butanol-1 in the presence of an interphase catalyst – sulfocationite molded catalyst KU-2 FPP. In this case, the interaction is carried out at the ratio of raw materials acetic aldehyde/butanol-1 and catalyst by volume of (1-2):1, temperature of 35-55°C, and pressure of 5-6 atm during 1 hour.

EFFECT: increase in the yield of the formation of a target product.
