SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for encoding images. The type of internal forecasting for the current block is determined. Information of the type of internal forecasting for the current block is generated based on the type of internal forecasting. The forecast samples of the current block are extracted based on the type of internal forecasting. Residual samples of the current block are generated based on forecast samples. Conversion coefficients for the current block are extracted based on residual samples. The associated residual information is formed based on the conversion coefficients. Information such as internal forecasting and related residual information is encoded. The internal prediction type information includes a matrix of internal prediction (MIP) flag representing whether or not the MIP is applied to the current block. The associated residual information includes information of the low-frequency inseparable transformation index (LFNST) for the current block based on the MIP flag.
EFFECT: increase in the encoding efficiency.
