FIELD: radiochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiochemistry and can be used to produce radiopharmaceuticals based on actinium-225 for radionuclide therapy of malignant neoplasms. The method for producing actinium-225 includes sequential separation of parent thorium-229 from daughter actinium-225 and radium-225 on the first chromatographic column with anion exchange resin, separation of daughter actinium-225 and radium-225 on the second chromatographic column with cation exchange resin. The daughter actinium-225 is purified from iron impurities on the third chromatographic column with anion exchange resin, and then the daughter actinium-225 is purified from organic impurities on the fourth chromatographic column with a hydrophobic porous resin with a polyvinyl benzene structure.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the isolation of actinium-225 by eliminating the need for sorption, washing and desorption operations when cleaning actinium-225 from organic impurities.
