FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely neurosurgery, neurology, and can be used for neurophysiological monitoring of the corticospinal tract of the brain during neurosurgical operations. After surgical access, corticotomy and the start of work at the subcortical level, dynamic direct neurostimulation is performed with a monopolar electrode in cathodic polarity with a frequency of 250-500 Hz from 5 packs of stimuli to verify the corticospinal tract. When a response from the control muscle groups is achieved at a minimum stimulus strength of 4 mA, further direct neurostimulation is performed using a bipolar electrode with a diameter of 3 mm and an intercontact distance of 5 mm at the previous stimulation parameters until a muscle response is achieved at a minimum stimulus strength of 1 mA.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in the accuracy of verification of the localization of the corticospinal tract during the removal of tumors of the motor zones, which ensures the safety and radicality of surgical treatment of patients, reduces the likelihood of permanent neurological deficiency in the postoperative period.
