FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a refractory mixture, which can be used for lining of metallurgical units, as well as to a method for the production of non-molded ceramic refractory of this mixture. The proposed refractory mixture contains periclase or molten magnesite, a carbon component, one or several metal aluminum carriers, a water bundle, and aluminum sulphate. The mixture is prepared of the specified components, poured on a section of a vessel for reception of molten steel, which, when used, comes into contact with molten steel, and heated to form non-molded ceramic refractory. Non-molded refractory contains periclase, spinel, and aluminum oxycarbide.
EFFECT: improvement of the resistance of refractory to infiltration of molten slag, and increase in hot bending strength.
