SUBSTANCE: method for controlling methane release at the reclamation area of a gas-filled mine has been claimed. The method includes drilling exploration wells. The method also includes an analysis of the structure of the coal-gas massif, the methane content of coal strata, their distance from the stratum being developed, and the volume of average daily coal mining by a mining harvester. The method also includes ventilation of the workings of the site, measurement of the intensity of methane release and its content in the air flow coming from the site. Additionally, the potential components of the gas balance are determined by the methane content in coal strata. The need to artificially reduce the methane content of coal strata by means of degassing is also determined. The intensity of methane release into the degassing and ventilation networks of the reclamation area is measured. According to the diagrams of hourly changes in the volume of coal produced during the day, the intensity of the total methane release at the site, the methane content in the air flow coming from the site, an increase in the volume of coal produced by the gas factor is predicted. The possibility of applying additional measures to improve the gas situation at the site is determined.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the method for controlling methane release at the reclamation area of a gas-filled mine during the development of a gas-bearing coal strata series.
