SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for forecasting resources of mine methane at an extraction section. Method includes measurement of parameters of coal-rock mass. Method also includes determination of methane content of coal beds, flow rate of captured methane, air flow rate and content of methane in it. Additionally, coal reserves and process losses are determined at the extraction section of the developed bed. In addition, degree of degassing of coal beds exposed to unloading from rock pressure in roof formation and in soil of developed bed is established. Methane resources in the extraction section are determined taking into account the coal reserves in the coal-bearing stratum contoured by the discharge planes by product of coal reserves by sum of differences of natural and residual methane content of corresponding adjacent coal beds in coal-bearing strata subject to unloading. Methane resources of the developed seam are determined from coal reserves and the difference between natural methane content of the seam and residual methane content of broken coal at the output of the transport opening of the extraction section. Total methane resources in the extraction section of the mine field are summed up as resources of the developed and adjacent coal beds and gas-bearing rocks enclosing of coal beds. Dynamics of reducing the intensity of methane release is also taken into account. Measurement of air flow rate and content of methane in it is carried out on incoming to longwall and outgoing from it jet, on outgoing from extraction section air flow.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of determining resources of mine methane due to reliable values of natural and residual methane content of coal beds.
