FIELD: thermometry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermometry and can be used to measure the temperature of a medium or objects. A method for measuring temperature is claimed, which consists in powering a serial connection formed by the resistance of the wires of a two-wire line and a resistance thermometer with rectangular pulses of a known current with a duty cycle at which the average current through the resistance thermometer does not exceed the permissible value. In this case, the resistance thermometer is shunted by a capacitor directly on its connecting contacts. The measurement of the voltage values on the serial connection, which determine the value of resistance of the resistance thermometer, is carried out at the time points t1 and t2 of the transition process, and the temperature is determined by the value of resistance.

EFFECT: reduction in the temperature measurement error caused by the resistance of the wires when a two-wire resistance thermometer is connected, an increase in the reliability of the measuring circuit due to its simple implementation.
