FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermometry and can be used to measure temperature of medium or objects. Proposed method of measuring temperature, which consists in supplying a resistance thermometer connected by a double-wire line, shunted by a capacitor directly on its connecting contacts, through series-connected reference resistor by rectangular voltage pulses with a duty ratio, at which the average current through the resistance thermometer does not exceed the permissible value. At the same time, at the end of the rectangular pulse action in the steady-state mode, the voltage drop across the reference resistor and the voltage at the input of the two-wire line are measured, and after the circuit is broken, the voltage at the input of the two-wire line is measured with a given sampling step and the sum of voltage readings is accumulated over time t2=2t1 with storage of accumulated sum at the end of time intervals t1 and t2. Resistance value of the resistance thermometer is determined by the value of the resistance of the reference resistor, the voltage drop across the reference resistor, the values of the two accumulated sums of readings and the value of the time interval t1, and the measured temperature is determined from the calibration characteristic of the resistance thermometer.

EFFECT: reduced error in measuring temperature caused by quantization noise, the effect of which increases with decreasing voltage on the resistance thermometer as the capacitor discharges, as well as faster operation when used in multichannel systems.
