FIELD: control systems.

SUBSTANCE: present technical solution relates to the field of control systems, which are used in areas of inspection of people for the presence of prohibited items or a fact of committing illegal actions. A computer-implemented method for detection of people for inspection during the passage of a metal detector is performed using at least one processor. In this case, the method contains stages, at which: a person’s profile is formed, containing a unique ID and a mass distribution model (hereinafter – MDM) containing at least data on a type of metal, mass and location of metal of a certain type located on a person, wherein MDM is formed based on retrospective information of passages of the metal detector by this person; a person’s ID and data of the current MDM for him/her, formed during the passage through the metal detector, are obtained; the current MDM is compared with the base MDM, during which a deviation of mass, type and location of a certain type of metal on the person from the base MDM is analyzed, and, in case of detection of a deviation by at least one of the specified parameters of MDM, a signal for inspection of the person is formed.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of detection of people for passage of additional control due to the use of a person’s profile formed based on MDM formed by retrospective data on person’s passage.
