FIELD: 3D printing.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to a device for 3D printing and a welding method using such a device, which can be used in chemical engineering. The device for chemical welding of plastic rods for 3D printing contains a demountable body, consisting of an upper part and a lower part. The upper and lower parts are made identical, while in the upper and lower parts of the housing there are two gutters of semicircular cross section, which, when connected, form parallel cylindrical through channels. Teflon inserts of semicircular cross section are inserted into the gutters, forming a cylinder with the possibility of placing and connecting plastic rods of the corresponding diameter in them when connecting the upper and lower parts. In the upper and lower parts of the body in opposite corners, two pins and two holes are made for fixing the pins of the other part of the body. The welding method consists in placing two plastic rods of the same or different types of plastic with one end into a solvent, holding until softening, and then placing them in Teflon liners of channels of the appropriate diameter, depending on the cross-sectional diameters of the rods, with softened tips towards each other. The bars are pushed until their ends meet inside the channel and penetrate each other, forming a joint. After that, the bars are held until the joint solidifies. Then the device is disassembled, for which the pins are removed from the holes for fixing the pins, and the connected plastic rod is removed.
EFFECT: device and method provide an increase in the efficiency and speed of work on connecting rods, as well as the possibility of connecting rods from different types of plastics.
