FIELD: pet care.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pet feed products. A method for the production of a meat analogue for a pet feed product is proposed, including: formation of an emulsion containing meat and a filler selected from a group consisting of plasma, egg powder, guar gum, pea fiber, pea protein, carboxymethylcellulose (hereinafter – CMC), modified grain starch, and mixtures thereof; direction of the emulsion through an extruder head to obtain a meat analogue; heating of the meat analogue with steam to obtain a heat-treated meat analogue, and cutting of the heat-treated meat analogue in thin plates, wherein thin plates have a thickness from about 0.5 mm to about 2.5 mm. A pet feed product is also proposed, containing a meat analogue, wherein the meat analogue provides for thin plates with a thickness from about 0.5 mm to about 2.5 mm, while the meat analogue contains meat in amount from about 30 wt.% to about 90 wt.% and a filler in amount from about 6 wt.% to about 9 wt.%, wherein the filler is selected from a group consisting of plasma, egg powder, guar gum, pea fiber, pea protein, CMC, modified grain starch, and mixtures thereof.

EFFECT: invention allows for obtainment of a meat analogue for a pet feed product, imitating real meat pieces by appearance and consistency.
