FIELD: feed production.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to feed production, namely to a wet sterilized feed product for domestic animals, a method for its production and use for feeding to a companion animal. The method includes: a) preparing meat mass having a moisture content of at least 40 wt % by mixing the following components: 30-95 wt % the meat mass of the crushed material of animal origin, selected from meat, animal by-products and their combinations, 1-40 wt % the meat mass of the binder that cures when heated, and 0-60 wt % the meat mass of one or more other feed components; b) heating the meat mass to a temperature of at least 70°C for curing when the binder is heated and forming the heated mass into pieces of restructured meat; c) placing pieces of restructured meat, optionally together with one or more other feed components, in the packaging and sealing it tightly; d) sterilization of the packaged feed product to a temperature of at least 80°C. The method further comprises: (i) adding the yeast extract prior to sterilization in a total amount of 0.1-3 wt % wet food and (ii) adding the Maillard component prior to sterilization in a total amount of 0.01-5 wt % wet food. The Maillard component is selected from the group consisting of a source of carbonyl groups, an amino compound, and combinations thereof, wherein the source of carbonyl groups contains at least 10 wt % dry matter of a carbonyl compound capable of reacting Maillard, and the source of the amino compound contains at least 5 wt % amino compounds by weight of dry matter capable of entering into the Maillard reaction.

EFFECT: implementation of the invention provides a product of high biological value.
