FIELD: power generation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of wave power engineering for creating wave power plants. Method for generating electricity by means of a wave power plant from surface waves consists in the nozzle body being made in the form of a vertical symmetrical flat streamlined ring with a narrowing part and an expanding part, whereon the blades of the guiding and adjusting apparatus are secured. The nozzle body is secured in the ground with stands and installed at a certain height from the wave crest level by means of water pumps and at a certain angle of inclination relative to the water surface, directed opposite to the wave motion, by means of joints. A blade turbine is installed in the nozzle throat. The turbine is protected with garbage collection nets. The vertical positioning of the nozzle body and angle of inclination thereof are adjusted. The diameter of the nozzle body is made so as not to exceed the average yearly half wavelength. The height of the nozzle body is made so as not to exceed the average yearly wave amplitude.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of the power plant.
