SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology, pathological anatomy, and can be used to determine the type of vascular remodeling of the placental stem villus arteries based on the results of a morphological and morphometric study of the placenta. After the birth of the placenta in parturient women, a morphometric study of the arteries of the placenta determines the coefficient of obliteration and the coefficient of elongation of the arteries of the stem villi of the placenta. Then, the diagnostic index D is calculated, and the type of vascular remodeling of the arteries of the stem villi of the placenta is determined based on the results of calculating D.

EFFECT: method allows to determine the type of vascular remodeling of arteries of placental stem villi in cases of fetoplacental insufficiency proven during pregnancy in women with preeclampsia in order to take a number of preventive measures to compensate for hypoxia in newborns and to rehabilitate the maternal organism in the postpartum period.
