FIELD: video data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile terminal image capturing apparatus. The result hereof is achieved by the mobile terminal receiving a first user input, and the mobile terminal starting video recording in response to the first user input; the mobile terminal then collects N video frames of a photographing scenario at the first frame rate. Then the mobile terminal determines the light intensity in the photographing scenario based on the collected N video frames and automatically adjusts the frame rate of recording of the mobile terminal based on the light intensity in the photographing scenario, wherein the recording frame rate resulting from the adjustment differs from the first frame rate, and N is a positive integer greater than 2. The mobile terminal also continues to collect video frames of the photographing scenario based on the frame rate of recording resulting from the adjustment. Finally, the mobile terminal generates a video file based on the video frames collected at the first frame rate and the video frame collected based on the frame rate of recording resulting from the adjustment.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of video image due to the automatic adjustment of the frame rate used during video recording.
