METHOD FOR REMOVING TOXIC CHROMIUM COMPOUNDS IN ANIMAL RAW MATERIALS, INCREASING THE FEED NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF THE END PRODUCT AND EXTRUDER FOR IMPLEMENTATION THEREOF Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A23K10/26 A23N17/00

Abstract RU 2782257 C1

FIELD: foodstuffs.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of feed additives from leather production waste and can be used to produce a protein-containing product with a high nutritional value. Proposed is a method for removing toxic chromium compounds from animal raw materials, increasing the feed nutritional value of the end product with the possibility of extruding any poorly flowing products, and an extruder for the implementation thereof. Method and apparatus for the implementation thereof are characterised by the fact that the processing of raw materials is prolonged in time and started outside of the extruder barrel in the feed chamber. In the feed chamber, the raw materials are additionally crushed, mixed, preheated due to the internal and external friction, and transported. Then the raw materials are pumped into the sealed receiving branch pipe to be pressed into the extruder barrel, wherein temperature and pressure, the numerical values whereof are selected depending on the purpose of the end product, are further increased. A hydrolysis reaction occurs, resulting in the chromium compounds transitioning into a low-toxic soluble form and evaporating as a vapour mixture. In order to accelerate and ensure the high-quality of the hydrolysis reaction, plant and mineral-based products are used, allowing, in combination with the prolongation of the hydrolysis reaction, for an increase in the nutritional value of the end product. The feed screw in the extruder, the major portion whereof is located in the feed chamber of the latter, as well as the storage hopper, are positioned in series with the extruder barrel. The shafts of the compression mechanism of the extruder and the feed screw are arranged perpendicular on the same level. The extruder barrel is rigidly connected with the feed chamber by the sealed receiving branch pipe.

EFFECT: possibility of creating an inexpensive, high-quality, energy-efficient protein-containing product.
