FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, physiology, audiology-otorhinolaryngology, paediatrics. Diagnosis is carried out in a sleeping patient at the age of one year or more. Electrodes are fixed on the head. Interelectrode resistance is checked. Acoustic signal is sent through headphones. Simultaneously, I-V peaks of short-latency auditory evoked potentials (SAEP) are recorded for each ear. Noise non-transmission boundary filter from 100 Hz to 3 kHz. Time interval of the acoustic click stimulus is 10 to 15 ms. Stimuli are presented twice with intensity with step of 20 dB HL in range of 20 to 60 dB HL to the level of visualization of peak V of the SAEP. Latency data of the recorded V peak of the SAEP for the right and left ear are compared with the age norms of the SAEP. If observing a deviation from the age norm at a stimulus intensity of 40 dB HL and 20 dB HL, the patient is referred to a specialized specialist.
EFFECT: invention can be used for diagnosing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in children.
