FIELD: data transmission.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an apparatus intended to allow simultaneous transmission of different types of transmission protocols. Apparatus, such as a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), receives configuration information containing a threshold value for the channel busy ratio (CBR) related to the association between the logical channel (LCH) and the transmission mode. The WTRU then measures the CBR and determines by what value the measured CBR exceeds the threshold CBR value causing a change in the association between the LCH and the transmission mode. Then the WTRU sends a buffer status report (BSR) based on the change in the association between the LCH and the transmission mode, and receives a data packet from the top protocol stack layer acting on the WTRU.
EFFECT: prevented collisions and increase in the efficiency of traffic.
