FIELD: package and storage.
SUBSTANCE: egg packaging contains a rectangular tray with dimples for laying eggs, which has a horizontal flange around the perimeter, as well as a lid in the form of an upside down tray. Tray has side flat walls and an upper horizontal flat wall in which a through opening is made. Lid is mounted on the egg tray with its side walls supported on the tray flange and is the tray made of corrugated cardboard or a rigid polymeric material made from a sheet blank by the method of bending its parts. Side flat walls of the lid tray are perpendicular to the bottom of this tray. Bottom is an upper horizontal flat wall with a through opening. Lid is fixed on the egg tray.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the strength and stiffness of the lid, eliminates its deformation during stacking and the transfer of the load on the content.
