FIELD: pumping equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a separating cup placed in a gap between leading and led parts of a magnetic coupling of a pump. The gap must be minimal for provision of high performance of the pump, which can be implemented only with a thin sidewall of the cup. At the same time, the cup must have sufficiently high strength, withstand pressure created in the pump, as well as save a stable shape and have high corrosion resistance to different alkaline and acidic media with additional input pressure and ease at manufacture. The separating cup is proposed to be made of polymer composite material, where the use of glass, basalt, or carbon fibers is possible as a reinforcing filler, and different polymers serve as a binding filler.
EFFECT: this cup has good corrosion-resistant properties, ease of manufacture, high strength, and resistance to high temperatures.
