FIELD: computer technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for control and monitoring of vehicles. A method for control of operation of vehicle tires is claimed, including the use of RFID tag installed on an inner surface of a tire inside a cord or on an outer surface of the tire and made with the possibility of data transmission via channels operating at low, high, and ultrahigh frequencies to obtain an identification code by means of a stationary or portable reader. Moreover, using the identification code, information about tire belonging to a vehicle, its type and size, as well as date and place of installation on the vehicle, about dates of previous readings of RFID tag and/or GPS coordinates of places of previous readings of RFID tag is obtained from a code database. Actual information about the tire is collected, including at least one of the following: data on the vehicle, on which the tire is installed, data on location of the tire, data on a type and size of the tire, date of manufacture of the tire by a manufacturer. Then, this information is compared with information from the database, and discrepancies are indicated, while, when collecting actual information, an additional RFID tag is used, installed on the vehicle to obtain an identification code, using which information about tire types, size, places, and dates of their installation, as well as about a type of the vehicle is obtained from the database.
