SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of biodegradable gels and hydrogels. Synovial fluid prosthesis in the form of a hydrogel water-soluble composition based on modified hyaluronic acid is 2.0-2.5 wt.% solution in deionized water of a chelate complex of zinc with hyaluronic acid, having molecular weight of 15-50 KDa, and with a zinc content in the chelate complex of 0.015-0.30%. A method for the production of prosthesis is also disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides increased stability of a hydrogel composition and its base – chelate complexes of HA with zinc, reduction in a number of uncontrollable impurities penetrating into the joint capsule, increased bioavailability of zinc.
