FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry, in particular, to a method for identifying polar compounds of petroleum and petroleum products. Method for identifying polar compounds of petroleum products includes the stage of distributing the components between two immiscible solvents hexane–acetonitrile, taken in equivalent volumes, followed by performing chromatographic analysis of the equilibrium phases on a chromatograph equipped with a mass spectrometric detector with a capillary column. Dry acetonitrile in an amount of 0.25 to 0.5 ml is added to the tested petroleum product in an amount of 0.25 to 0.5 ml, the mixture is put on a vibrating table and shaken for 20 to 30 seconds, then left to rest for 3 to 4 minutes; the system is separated into two phases, then the acetonitrile phase is collected, an equivalent volume of hexane is added thereto, and the mixture is put on a vibrating table and shaken for 20 to 30 seconds, then left to rest for 3 to 4 minutes; the system is separated into two phases, then the distribution coefficients are normalised according to the following polar compounds of petroleum products: naphthalene, fluorene, anthracene, 1-methylnaphthalene, 2-methylnaphthalene, and retention normalisation is performed using a mixture of n-alkanes C12H26-C22H46, wherein polar compounds of petroleum products are identified by comparing the resulting values of retention indices and distribution coefficients.
EFFECT: higher degree of identification of polar compounds of petroleum and petroleum products.
