SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions containing Bacillus strains and to their use. A composition for reduction in a level of Clostridium in ruminants is proposed, containing effective amount of a biologically pure culture of Bacillus strain selected from a group consisting of Bacillus subtilis 1104 strain deposited in NRRL collection under a registration number NRRL B67258, Bacillus subtilis 1781 strain deposited in NRRL collection under a registration number NRRL B67259, Bacillus subtilis 747 strain deposited in NRRL collection under a registration number NRRL B67257, Bacillus subtilis 1541 strain deposited in NRRL collection under a registration number NRRL B67260, and Bacillus subtilis 2018 strain deposited in NRRL collection under a registration number B67261. A composition for use as a microbial preparation controlling silage for inhibition of clostridium growth in silage mass is also proposed, containing an effective number of strains. Methods using the specified compositions and the use of the specified strains are also proposed.

EFFECT: invention provides for effective suppression of clostridia, such as C. Perfringens, and non-toxicogenic clostridia.
