SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. The NEFU-Avul-1 strain of cell suspension cultures of wormwood (Artemisia vulgaris L.), obtained under in vitro conditions, is presented, identified and deposited in Russian National Collection of Cultivated Cells of Higher Plants (RNCCC HP) at the Institute of Plant Physiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, registration number 117 The strain is used to obtain biomass of Artemisia vulgaris L. cells, it is characterized by stable growth and physiological parameters, the growth index is two times higher than that of analogues. Cultivated cells have no seasonal dependence.

EFFECT: invention can be used as a herbal medicinal raw material for the production of secondary metabolites.
