METHOD FOR MEASURING THE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF PAROTID SALIVA Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/487

Abstract RU 2783693 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to surgical dentistry, and can be used to measure the rheological properties of saliva during sialometry. Saliva is taken 20 minutes after ingesting 8 drops of a 1% pilocarpine solution for 20 minutes, wherein at the first stage of the study saliva is taken from the right parotid gland using a Lashley-Krasnogorsky capsule, and from the left one using a polyethylene anaesthesia catheter. After a week, at the second stage of the study, saliva is taken from the left parotid gland using a Lashley-Krasnogorsky capsule and from the right parotid gland using an anaesthesia catheter. The amount of saliva in ml found using the Lashley-Krasnogorsky capsule is used as a control indicator relative to the amount of saliva in ml found using a catheter; the difference between the control indicator and the indicator obtained using the catheter is determined, and used to determine the rheological properties of saliva.

EFFECT: creation of conditions for the objective assessment of violations in the rheological properties of parotid saliva during dynamic sialometry provided by the combination of techniques of the claimed invention.
