FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry of heterocyclic compounds, in particular, to a method for producing monocarboxylic derivatives of demetallised petroleum porphyrins. The method includes the following stages: producing monobromic derivatives of demetallised petroleum porphyrins by an interaction of demetallised petroleum porphyrins, produced from heavy oil or petrochemical products, with N-bromosuccinimide at a molar ratio of 1:1 to 1.5 in an applicable solvent, adding the excess pyridine while stirring and boiling, with the release of a monobromic derivative of demetallised petroleum porphyrin by known methods; producing ethers of monocarboxylic derivatives of demetallised petroleum porphyrins by an interaction in an applicable solvent while stirring and boiling of the monobromic derivatives of demetallised petroleum porphyrins with the excess carboxylating agent produced through the interaction of equimolar amounts of cooled sodium hydride in a suitable solvent with hydroxycarboxylic acid ester, wherein 3-hydroxypropionic acid, 2-hydroxypropionic acid methyl ester, 4-hydroxybutanoic acid methyl ester, 5-hydroxypentanoic acid methyl ester, or 6-hydroxyhexanoic acid methyl ester is used as a hydroxycarboxylic acid ester; and producing the target product (monocarboxylic derivatives of demetallised petroleum porphyrins) by an interaction of esters of monocarboxylic derivatives of demetallised petroleum porphyrins in an applicable solvent while boiling with the excess trifluoroacetic acid and releasing the target product by known methods.
EFFECT: effective method for producing, under mild conditions, monocarboxylic derivatives of demetallised petroleum porphyrins extracted from heavy oil, potentially applicable as photosensitisers in photodynamic therapy (PDT) and as heterogeneous catalysts in organic synthesis, and solution to the technical problem of using petroleum refining waste.
