SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy of prostate cancer. Photosensitizer has the structural formula (1)

where as R1 can be hydrogen (H), sodium (Na), potassium (K), C1-C2 – alkyl, as R2 can be a compound of general formula CxH2x, where x=4÷17, as R3 may be hydrogen (H), sodium (Na) or potassium (K). Method for preparing a photosensitizer and a medicament for treating prostate cancer are also provided.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a photosensitizer that is highly effective in carrying out PDT of prostate cancer.
