FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. A peer-to-peer overlay network consisting of L logically linked terminal apparatus of subscribers of the communication system is created; in order to send a message on the side of the terminal apparatus of the sender, the maximum message delivery time, the number of generations of terminal apparatus, and the number of terminal apparatus in one generation are set. Any N terminal apparatus, except for the terminal apparatus of the sender and the recipient, are selected at random. The message is sent to the terminal apparatus of the recipient. A copy of the message is sent to the selected N terminal apparatus. A special header is added to each copy of the message; when a terminal apparatus receives the message with the special header, the message, the data from the special header, and the address of the terminal apparatus wherefrom the message was received are stored in the memory of said receiving terminal device, a timer is started, and the value of the field of the number of generations of terminal apparatus is reduced by one.

EFFECT: higher probability of delivering messages in communication systems with a high probability of failures of elements thereof.
