FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology, in particular to the field of non-destructive testing, and is intended for magnetic particle testing of springs. In the proposed solutions, a controlled spring is placed in an annular cavity of a vertically oriented non-magnetic vessel and, after magnetization, the cavity is filled with a magnetic suspension with the possibility of complete dipping of the spring bars and, having completed filling the cavity with a magnetic suspension, the spring is removed from the cavity of the vessel, the magnetic indications on its bars are analyzed, after completion of which, with a positive result, the controlled spring is placed again in the annular cavity of the non-magnetic vessel with the suspension, and, acting on it with an alternating magnetic field formed by the demagnetizing solenoid, it is slowly pushed upwards from the cavity with a distance of about 0.5 m from the vessel, after which the demagnetizing field of the solenoid is turned off and the absence of magnetic indications on the bars of the controlled spring is recorded.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability and manufacturability of magnetic particle testing of springs.
