FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology, in particular to the field of non-destructive testing, and is intended for magnetic powder control of the locomotive wheel tread. The stand for magnetic powder control of the locomotive wheel tread contains a stand body, rollers fixed to the stand body, on which the controlled tread is freely suspended by its internal ground surface and from which the drive roller is connected to the rotation drive of the tread, two saddle-shaped solenoids with counter-activation of windings, a control unit, a pallet and a container for suspension. Saddle-shaped solenoids are made with the possibility of placement inside the tread, equipped with brackets and mounted by means of the latter on the end parts of the telescopic rods normally to the inner ground surface of the tread, with their other end parts, the rods are pivotally suspended from the support shaft, fixed normally and rigidly on the body of the stand with fixation of their radial-angular mutual position with a bracket, while the axis of the pivotal connection of the rods oriented to the center of rotation of the tread, and the radial angle between them is set with the possibility of monitoring at the maximum length of the expanded zone of sufficient magnetization of the inner surface of the tread and ensuring the required value of tension in the middle section of the latter at least, for example, 25 A/cm. The control unit is made in the form of a series-connected angular displacement converter of the driven roller and a stop pulse generator of the rotation drive when the value of the angle of rotation of the tread corresponding to the maximum length of the extended zone of sufficient magnetization is reached, and is supplemented with a starter equipped with a “START” button for connecting the drive to the supply network and a control input connected to the output of the stop pulse generator of the rotation drive.
EFFECT: as a result, the processability of control increases, its reliability increases, and the intensity of the operator’s work decreases.
