FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, in particular to filters. UHF filter contains two identical metal segments of a waveguide of a rectangular working section. Each of waveguide segments is equipped at one end with a movable short circuit breaker, and at the other end of each of waveguide segments, flanges are installed. Between flanges, there is a thin metal plate, and in a gap between an outer face of each flange and corresponding wall of the waveguide segment, there is a groove, in which, flush with the common plane of flanges from each of sides of the mentioned plate, perpendicular to walls of waveguide segments, exciters of UHF field are tightly laid, each of which is a metal probe isolated from both the wall of the corresponding waveguide segment and the thin metal plate in the common plane of flanges, and each of the mentioned probes penetrates the working section of the waveguide, and U-shaped through slot is made in the thin metal plate within the working section of waveguide segments along their wide and one of narrow walls. The total length of the slot is more than a size of the wide wall of the waveguide, and each of metal probes of UHF field exciters at least once intersects the mentioned slot, while input and output UHF field exciters, as well as corresponding grooves are located from one side of narrow walls of waveguide segments along their center symmetrically to each other, a thickness of the thin metal plate is no more than a size of a diameter of the metal probe, a depth of immersion of metal probes of UHF field exciters into the working section of waveguide segments is no more than 1/3 of part of the size of the wide wall of the waveguide, and distances from movable short circuit breakers to metal probes of UHF field exciters are at least 0.2 fractions of the size of the wide wall of the waveguide.

EFFECT: improvement of frequency selectivity of a filter.
