FIELD: processing of wood.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of wood and its wastes by pyrolysis, namely to an apparatus for producing charcoal. Proposed plant comprises at least two pyrolysis compartments with retorts arranged therein, furnace including furnace chamber communicated via gas duct with pyrolysis compartments, ash and flue duct. At that, furnace chamber gas duct is made in the form of mixing device for uniform mixing of gas flows generated in different zones of furnace space with incoming atmospheric flows into one flow before supply and distribution of heat carrier through pyrolysis compartments, and the mixer is configured to transfer heat to the center zone of the upper part of the retort and includes an emergency heat carrier discharge pipe. Plant also includes a complex of preliminary drying of wood raw material, which is made in the form of a base with holes, where at least one retort is installed above each hole. Waste heat carrier removal from each pyrolysis compartment is carried out through holes arranged uniformly along the perimeter of circumference of the retort.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of flow uniformity of flue gas flowing over the retort and reduction of costs for coal production.
