SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of motor vehicles and can be used to prevent unauthorized entry into the engine compartment of a vehicle and can also be used as one of the parts of the car's anti-theft system. The car hood lock includes a housing in which a blocking element is located, controlled by an external control device, and mating locking elements of the lock. The locking element is made in the form of a rotor with built-in permanent magnets, which rotates on an axis in a magnetic field created by an electromagnetic coil with a core, to enable blocking or unlocking of the response lockable elements of the hood lock.
EFFECT: improving the reliability of the device while simplifying the device.
