FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical measuring equipment and can be used for monitoring the working condition of high-voltage insulators based on measuring and testing the characteristics of a UHF multipactor discharge. Substance: apparatus for diagnosing the technical condition of a high-voltage insulator comprises a first and a second electromagnetic signal sources, a first and a second electromagnetic signal input elements, a first and a second electromagnetic signal output elements, a first and a second amplitude detectors and indicator, a signal subtraction unit, a first and a second cylindrical resonator chambers with detachable ends. The output of the first electromagnetic signal source is connected via the first electromagnetic signal input element to the input of the first cylindrical resonator chamber, the output whereof is connected via the first electromagnetic signal output element with the input of the first amplitude detector. The output of the first amplitude detector is connected to the first input of the signal subtraction unit. The output of the second electromagnetic signal source is connected via the second electromagnetic signal input element to the input of the second cylindrical resonator chamber, the output whereof is connected via the second electromagnetic signal output element with the input of the second amplitude detector. The output of the second amplitude detector is connected to the second input of the subtraction unit. The output of the subtraction unit is connected with the input of the indicator.
EFFECT: higher degree of diagnosing the technical condition of a high-voltage insulator.
