SURGICAL DEVICE FOR DISSECTION OF EYE LENS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/3205 A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2785416 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to surgical devices, and, in particular, to dissection of lens tissue for removal of lens or another tissue in eye surgery. A surgical device for dissection of the lens inside the eye capsule bag contains a case, a rod, a dissecting element, and an actuator. The rod is connected to the case, and it has a longitudinal axis passing from a proximal end of the rod to an outlet at a distal end of the rod. The rod contains the first lumen and the second lumen passing through it. The dissecting element is made with the possibility of movement relatively to the rod from the first introduction configuration to the second capture configuration, in which at least a section of the dissecting element passes outside from the rod. Both the dissecting element in the first introduction configuration and the distal end of the rod have a size for introduction into the anterior eye chamber through a cutout for being placed above the anterior surface of the lens inside the capsule bag. The section of the dissecting element is located inside the first lumen, and at least a section of the dissecting element is located inside the second lumen, when the dissecting element is in the first introduction configuration. The second capture configuration contains a loop formed by the complete dissecting element. The loop contains an open area. A distal section of the open area is located distally relatively to the outlet, and a proximal section of the open area is located proximally relatively to the outlet. The second capture configuration of the dissecting element is made of such a size and shape so that to allow movement of the dissecting element between the capsule bag and the lens, whereas the lens remains in the capsule bag, for capture of a section of the lens in the open area. The actuator is functionally connected to the dissecting element. The actuator is made with the possibility of stretching the dissecting element for decrease in the open area and cutting of the lens.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows for provision of reduction in the risk of damage to eye tissue, as well as more efficient operation of a surgeon.
