FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: surgical device for cutting the lens inside the capsule bag of the eye contains: a rod extending from a case along the longitudinal axis of the device, wherein the rod has lumen and a distal end; a cutting element moved along lumen of the rod, wherein the cutting element contains at least the first dissecting element having the first end, the second end, and a distal loop formed between the first and the second ends; a motor having a working connection to the cutting element and moved along the longitudinal axis of the case; and a move counting mechanism connected to the motor and enclosed inside the case. The cutting element is made with the possibility of transfer from the first removed configuration towards the second unfolded configuration, when the motor is distally extended. When being in the second unfolded configuration, the distal loop of at least the first dissecting element forms an enlarged open area located outside the distal end of the rod, wherein the enlarged open area has the first side distally extended relatively to the distal end of the rod and the second side proximally located relatively to the distal end of the rod. The move counting mechanism is made with the possibility of tracking distal extensions and/or proximal extensions of the motor and calling an act of locking, which prevents distal extension of the motor.
EFFECT: use of this invention will allow for extraction of tissue from the anterior chamber without damage to other eye structures.
