FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: area of application: invention relates to technology for radio measurements, in particular, to measurement of the intensity of electromagnetic emission sources, and can be used for rapid studies of the spatial distribution of energy (power), emission of lens and mirror antennas at 1–3 mm wavelengths. Radiovisor based on millimetre emission receivers with mesoscale dielectric antennas consists of a sealed body with a transparent entry window for the recorded emission and a removable back cover; a dielectric plate with double-sided metallisation is secured in front of the window; one or more multi-element millimetre emission receivers are located on the front surface of the plate, a measuring system interface, a personal computer, and the antennas are placed relative to each other from the condition of coupling of the surfaces of the volumes of spatial directivity radiation patterns thereof in two perpendicular planes of the electric E and magnetic H vectors at the level of half emission reception power, is characterised by the emission receivers being equipped with mesoscale dielectric weakly directional antennas with a characteristic size of at least λ/2, configured to shape and direct terajets at the sensing element of the electromagnetic emission receiver, wherein λ is the emission wavelength in free space, and with a refractive index of the dielectric material in the range from 1.2 to 2.
EFFECT: higher sensitivity of the apparatus, metal horn microantennas removed from the design of the radiovisor.
