SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry of copper acetylenides, namely to a method for separation of copper acetylenides from their mixture. The method includes preparation of copper acetylenide solutions of copper acetylenides, such as copper tertbutyl acetylenide and copper phenyl acetylenide, and anhydrous salt of alkaline earth metal, such as CaCl2, at a molar ratio of 1:3, in a bipolar aprotic solvent selected from N,N-dimethylformamide or N,N-dimethylacetamide. Then, the solution of the copper acetylenide mixture is introduced into a chromatographic column with Al2O3 or SiO2 adsorbent, and gradient elution of the copper acetylenide mixture adsorbed in the column is carried out, with gradual decrease in a concentration of anhydrous CaCl2 in one of the specified solvents to form in the chromatographic column zones of corresponding copper acetylenides different in color. Next, the chromatographic column is cut for zones of copper acetylenides, and each zone is dissolved the anhydrous CaCl2 solution in one of the specified solvents.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities, reduction in losses of alkynes in their mixture, and simplification of a technology of use of expensive alkynes in organic synthesis.
