FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used in the manufacture of a metallized product used for steelmaking in an electric arc furnace. The method includes dosed mixing of crushed oxide-containing material with a carbon-containing reducing agent and a silica-containing binder, moistening the resulting mixture with bentonite suspension, forming briquettes using a press, heat treatment of briquettes at a temperature of 393 K for two hours, then reducing firing at a temperature of 1373 K for 60 minutes. An iron-containing concentrate obtained by hydrometallurgical enrichment of ferromanganese ores is used as an oxide-containing material, long-flame coal grade D is used as a carbon-containing reducing agent, and bentonite is used as a silica-containing binder.
EFFECT: improved quality of the metallized product due to the use of an oxide-containing material with a high iron content of 81-83% in the charge, a decrease in the slag component when using the product in the steelmaking process, an increase in the degree of metallization of the product up to 96-98.5%, an increase in the strength characteristics of the product up to 96- 98%.
