FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of oxides of active metals by selective reduction and extraction of iron from complex ores or their concentrates. Method of producing oxides of active metals and concentrates from complex and hard-to-process ores by selective reduction of elements includes reduction annealing at temperature Tm. equal to 0.6–0.8 Tm. of the most refractory iron-containing phase for solid-phase reduction of iron of processed ore with fraction of 1–3 mm or 5–30 mm. Ore is reduced in a stream of hydrogen for 30–60 minutes. During annealing, composition of exhaust gases is controlled, wherein ratio of volumetric concentrations of hydrogen and water vapours in exhaust mixture of reaction products for iron is not less than 10, for phosphorus – 105, for manganese – 106. Metallised material obtained after annealing is placed in a melting unit, brought to the melting point of the most refractory metal-containing phase itself and liquid-phase separation is carried out into a metallic semi-product and slag.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain iron and valuable oxide materials.
