DEVICE FOR DRAINAGE OF PURULENT CAVITIES Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61M27/00

Abstract RU 2785652 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to perfusion-aspiration drains; it can be used for drainage of purulent cavities of parenchymal organs, retroperitoneal space, abdominal and thoracic cavities (in liver abscess, pancreatic necrosis, lung abscess, pleural empyema, etc.). A device for drainage of purulent cavities consists of an outer silicone tube with drainage holes along its entire length, made with the possibility of non-rigid fixation in it of an inner tube with drainage holes along its entire length. The outer tube has longitudinal holes with a size of 5.0×15.0 mm, located in a chessboard order along a circumference of the tube. In a distal part, the outer tube is tightly closed with a round plate having a round hole in the center, with a diameter of 10-12 mm, for cavitoscopy, removal of sequesters, and a through channel on the periphery, which coincides with a through channel of the inner tube. On the inner tube, there are longitudinal holes with a size of 5.0×15 mm for removal of sequesters and purulent liquid. In a wall of the inner tube, there is a through channel for introduction of an ozonized antiseptic solution. A container of a microporous nylon package with sorbent powder is placed in the inner tube. The inner tube and the container with the sorbent are made with the possibility of being replaced.

EFFECT: invention allows for acceleration of a period of purification of a purulent cavity from hematoma clots, fibrin, necrotic tissues under control of endocavitoscopy, removal of toxic purulent separated substance at any treatment stage, provision of conditions for safe, atraumatic, and multiple replacement of an inner tube of a device and a container with a sorbent, elimination of intoxication, reduction in the duration of hospitalization for 5-7 days.
