FIELD: ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended to predict a favorable morphofunctional response to antiangiogenic (AAG) therapy in diabetic macular edema (DME). Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography are performed after the first injection of the anti-angiogenic drug. The central thickness of the retina is determined in microns (CTS), the thickness of the layer of nerve fibers of the retina in microns (LNFR), the presence of a local avascular zone (LAZ) is taken as 1, the absence of LAZ - 0, discontinuity of the outer limiting membrane of the retina (OLM) - 1, the absence OLM – 0 are determined. The coefficient P is calculated by the formula P=exp(CTS*0.253+LNFR*0.094+LAZ*3.139+OLM(-7.551)-2.785)/(1+exp(CTS*0.253+LNFR*0.094+LAZ*3.139+OLM(-7.551)-2.785)).With a P value of 0.7 or more, a favorable response to AAG therapy is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides reliability of the prognosis of the result of DME treatment by means of AAG therapy due to the determination of prognostic criteria.
