SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the retina is performed in high resolution (HR) mode and in tissue depth imaging (TDI) mode. In the presence of detachment of the neuroepithelium over the tumor, accumulation of transudate over the tumor, the presence of large cysts and intraretinal cavities of the retina or detachment of the neuroepithelium and accumulation of exudate, an unfavorable course of choroidal melanoma is predicted with organ-preserving treatment.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of changing the tactics of treatment of choroidal melanoma in order to increase the effectiveness of treatment.
